Registration Process

When users first try to post a message, Ceilidh will ask them to complete a registration process which consists of two steps. The first step, pictured below, is to click on the "Verify/Register" button.

After that step is complete, users will fill out the information fields on the following screen, shown in step two below. This process has been very smooth and takes about three minutes. I did experience some troubles with students typing in incorrect information or forgetting their passwords and registering twice. This was a problem because it was corrupting the database and the students became difficult for the system to recognize as a single person. I believe the developers have solved this problem by having the students type in both the user name and the password when they post. In the past, they could simply type in either a user name or password to access the system. Now they must use both. It is important to insist that students write down their passwords.
