Computer Space Checklist

This checklist includes a number of common computer and non-computer related technologies. Those technologies that are not software are listed under the subheading "Hardware" and include both computer hardware and non-computer technologies, such as markers and overhead projectors. Numerous (although by no means comprehensive) software categories and titles are listed under the subheading "Software." While many computer spaces will be configured with the ubiquitous Microsoft Office suite of programs, other options exist that instructors may not be familiar with. Many of these options are shareware and can be downloaded for free from shareware sites, such as Download.com, Tucows, and others. Familiarizing instructors with these available options increases their ability to move comfortably between multiple computer spaces by allowing them to adapt these spaces and content delivery to their needs.
