Most ecash companies sell their systems based
on the claim that transactions cannot be tracked
back to the purchaser. Annonymity is claimed
through the incorporation of encryption techniques
and limiting the information that is shared with a
seller during a transaction. The Federal government,
however, requires that banks file reports for all cash
transactions over $10,000. It will probably be a
matter of time before ecash is no longer defined in
     terms of privacy of use.
