Week in Review Podcast
Purpose:
to created a podcast in a class-based podcast series with a specific
audience and purpose and to develop your podcasting and collaboration
skills.
These podcasts are a collaborative podcast
for two people. Please select a week for your team. The class schedule
shows available weeks and which weeks have been assigned.
As we discussed in class, each “Week in Review” podcast must include:
- A review/summary of the week’s readings, blog posts, and class discussions, with special attention to the class discussions.
- Supplemental material. Information that goes above and beyond the content of the class but still relates to the class and the topics of the week. Do research, read other texts, or listen to other podcast and include this information. Apply the class content for an example critique. Or do other interesting and exciting things, but take this beyond a simple summary or review.
- A quote of the week, which should be related to the topics. It can be from any of the class material or an outside source.
- A preinto with the week date, your names, and topic(s).
- Both your voices. You can’t just have one of you speak. You both must.
You
may include other material, such as music, reviews of other podcasts,
and so on, as long as it fits your podcast and topic (the music may not
exactly fit the topic, but it can be used in rhetorical ways and is
common in podcasts).
The length should be 15 minutes, plus/minus 2.5 minutes (so from 12.5 to 17.5 minutes).
These are due by midnight (11:59:59 pm) of the Wednesday following your
week. So if you have October 27th, then you must submit the podcast by
11:59:59 pm Nov 5th.
