hope

It seems that "circumstances," whether pertaining to gender or class or race or disability or language, often allow the institution to erase the complaint of the group, ignoring this or that demand for inclusion. I was worried that John might let the institution turn him away. For the basic writing exit exam, he wrote an angry description of legal action he felt he might be forced to take against the University. His essay is angry and blames the University for failing to accommodate his needs, yet I hesitate to join in his anger.
