A Little Homily on Living in Two Worlds
or,
A Conclusion of Sorts

Sisters and Brothers, I see a glorious world ahead of us. A place where students lower screens and open eyes. A place where students sit on the grass and type into the heavens, and to each other.

I see a vision on a hill, and there are no wires to obscure the view. I hear the soft murmur of words and the assertive tapping of keys. I smell the scent of cyber-ether. It is heaven and earth together in one moment. It is the moment we've been waiting for, and it is the moment we all fear: It is the rapture of worlds, of spaces, colliding into a virtual and real eden.
