1. Literacy is always tied to some form of acculturation (17). The acculturation produced by digital literacy (and demanded by the digital labor market) is fundamentally different than that produced by print literacy. Accountable assessment recognizes this difference and, accordingly, measures the skills and modes of thinking necessitated by digital literacy.
