The Internetworked Classroom

For those interested only in the construction and maintenance of an internetworked classroom, Porter's book may be of little use (but he does point to numerous sources that deal with such topics). He invokes some of the problems and potentials of the internetworked classroom early on, but he does not return to them with any developed discussion. Porter directs readers' attention to the collapsing of boundaries in the internetworked classroom, and he suggests the inherent potentials of power redistribution and civic engagement that can be developed but have not yet reached their fullest potential. The decisions we make as teachers of writing in internetworked classroom will help shape what becomes legal.
