The term cyberspace is not a new term, but has become a part of pop culture over the last few years. The concept was expanded upon by William Gibson in his popular science fiction novel Neuromancer. Gibson describes cyberspace as a virtual world inside the matrix. The matrix is the essence of all of the information available to the worlds computers, basically what we call the internet. In Neuromancer, he provides vivid imageryof this world. |
