This project was designed and developed by Sadie Cornell and Professor Donna Reiss through an Honors Mentorship Grant given by Tidewater Community College. Under an Honors Mentorship, the student has the opportunity to gain specialized knowledge, classroom credit, and monetary compensation through research and completion of an independent project. This Honors Mentorship project examined literary hypertexts for their possible uses in English composition and literature classes as well as provided recommendations for instructional applications of literary hypertexts and for student development of hypertexts.

I am majoring in Business Administration and Information Systems at Tidewater Community College with intent to transfer to Old Dominion University. I have a strong literary background and proficiency in the World Wide Web and web design, but my opinions and deductions on the majority of the various forms of hypertext have resulted from this research project. Donna Reiss specializes in computer-supported communication and instruction across the curriculum and supervised this project. (Sadie Cornell)
