Jane Greer is associate professor of English and Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, where she teaches courses on the literacy practices and rhetorical performances of girls and women as well as composition courses. She edited Girls and Literacy in America:  Historical Perspectives to the Present (ABC-Clio 2003), and her work on the history of rhetorical education has appeared in College English, College Composition and Communication, and numerous edited collections.  Several of her undergraduate students have had their research—on such topics as girls' diaries, the musical rhetoric of the American Abolitionist movement, and the rhetorical education of Hillary Rodham Clinton—published in Young Scholars in Writing.  Having served on the editorial board of YSW since 2004, Greer became the journal's editor in 2010.
