Typwrt-L is open to all individuals interested in the current issues of personality type in composition and education. Though most members are educators, the list includes professional writers and psychotherapists. Besides list owner Dean Hinnen, notable members include George Jensen, co-author of Personality and the Teaching of Composition, Tom Thompson, editor of Self & Text: A Bulletin of Research and Applications, and personality type/composition scholars Barry M. Maid, Maurice Scharton, and Christina Murphy.
Most of the list members are moderately active, but many lurk quietly. Since only sixty people have joined the list in the four months it has been active, it is a relatively quiet group (there are usually fewer than fifteen messages per week). But as the list grows, discussion will obviously increase.
