What Matters Who Responds?

As has become even more clear to me since I wrote the
presentation, the commodification everywhere apparent
in late capitalist economy is at work on the Net and
looks to be increasing. In the December issue of
Wired magazine, Marc Andreessen
(22-year-old multi-millionaire creator of
Netscape ) calls the Internet, " more than
anything else. . .a platform for entrepreneurial
activities." Yep. And that's why the copyright wars are
heating up to boiling point.
