In his 1991 translation of Aristotle's Rhetoric, Kennedy notes the importance
of the cultural and linguistic contexts of the original Greek terms he is dealing with.
He decides in this work, therefore, to leave certain words in their original
Greek rather then risk corruption of their meaning in a modern English translation.
