This is a challenging book to read. It was not originally written for writing teachers, online educators, or humanities academics. It doesn't mention pedagogy or the teaching process at all. It's primarily a book of governmental and commercial economics of telecommunications. It isn't really aimed at a Kairos audience, in my opinion. It contains specialized terminology of economics, technology, and government regulation that sometimes requires a reference book to fully understand. A glossary would have been helpful. And there are at least two instances of obvious typographic or proofreading error (e.g., "worse of" instead of "worse off" on page 216). It's also $50. Readers will need to take these things into account when considering the book. In any case, writing teachers and those who support them will have to distill their own knowledge from the book and then apply it them for their own unique situation(s).
