The book strikes a good balance overall. It ranges from intellectual and "out there" (Vitanza, Barber) to playful and wise (Doherty and Vielstimmig) to pedagogical and practical (Selfe et al. and Kirkpatrick) and to academic/traditional (Day, Galin and Latchaw). The book is timely, important, and it pushes traditional boundaries, but not enough; buy the book, but clamor for an interactive companion web site.
