“To Die, to Sleep—to Sleep, Perchance to Dream: Imagery of the Christian Death in Jacob’s Ladder”
This paper was written in English 300: Literature and the Narrative Media. The paper analyzes the Christian vision of death in the Adrian Lyn film Jacob’s Ladder. For this paper, I employed  another critical article written in response to the film as a framing device to argue against and reinforce my own ideas.  This proved highly effective in developing my thesis: the movie’s theme follows the traditional Christian view of death. This paper was the most time-consuming  paper I have ever written.  In order to develop my thesis, I had to spend many hours rewinding and fast-fowarding through the video.  Then I had to research the biblical allusions and allegories used in the film.
