Using the Web for High School Student Writers
 by Ted Nellen

Moving from the college to the high school, Ted Nellen, in “Using the Web for High School Student Writers," answers the question: How can a traditional writing class transform itself into a Webbed-writing class? Answer: Have each student create a Web page, follow a syllaweb, and use the hypertext made possible by online research. Assignments included the typical December Holidays and Student Editorials, to the less usual Cyber Biographies. Not only did student writing improve, due in part to the constant feedback made possible by the Web medium, but several of the students were offered jobs in Web publishing!
