Assignments and Student Writing These
assignments and student writing in response to the assignments illustrate
sequencing of assignments (Roe v. Wade paper) to develop awareness
of audience, as well as my creation of an artificial audience (Inherit
the Wind assignment) for students. The Real Life Law essays, "Rodney's
Best Interests" (which won a prize in our Three
Generations Writing 125 writing competition) and "Application
of Constitutional Principles to Overturn Traffic Ticket," arguably
invoke a wider audience, not only within the College, but among any
readers who come across these essays on the Web. Finally, the Chat transcripts
here illustrate emerging student awareness and concerns about more "invoked"
audiences. |
