"Are Daedalus and Commonspace Dead?"
This e-mail message was originally posted by Judith G. Caprio and is now copied in its original form from the acw-l archives. Help! We have got to spend the last money of a technology grant and are looking at Daedalus and Commonspace for our *one* computer classroom of 27 computers. Most of the people who use the room during the semester will have access to it probably only seven or eight times a semester because of demand. Is there anyone out there who has had the opportunity to use both of these programs in teaching situations? What do you see as the major differences in their uses? Would you recommend one or the other? I understand that Daedalus is coming out with an Internet version which could further complicate our decision-making, but any kind of specific input would be useful at this point.
Thanks,
