Mick asked why we hadn't used more bells and whistles in our site. I guess I'm a minimalist. I can't see the point of adding things to a site if they don't somehow make the reading/viewing experience better. I find that things like animated gifs, blinking texts, and color just to show you know how to use the "font" tag are not particularly useful.
On the other hand, I think we ended up with a pretty good hypertext, considering what I knew about coding HTML at that time. We made extensive use of javascript, frames, image maps, and graphics and did so in ways that made the site easier to read/view/navigate. At least, I hope they added to the site.
