All of the above. Kairos is both a natural talent and an acquired skill. Okay, to paraphrase Isocrates, one learns a sense of kairos from natural talent, practice, and quality instruction.
In an ironic comparison to my previous post, however, I must point out that one also learns a sense of kairos while functioning within the established regulations and procedures. Established guidelines provide the foundation upon which kairos is built.
