The adaptation supports the assertion that a hypertext can have both constructive and exploratory, intersecting and interacting links. The intersecting links, represented by the circular patterns of fences, presents an operational version of comprehension that supports schema theory. The interacting links, represented by all other connections, represents an operational version of comprehension that supports neural net theory. Both types of linking testify to one students' attempt to articulate the ways in which womyn associate thoughts and feelings.
