The syllabus was sketchy and included only readings, assignments -- the usual. There were other things, though, that became part of the course.

Students kept journals of their online experiences, and we explored different kinds of sites on the web.

We visited interactive fiction sites like Salsa, Journals of the Electric Plague, or the no dead trees folks. Sites changed pretty regularly, but students found a great deal to rummage thrtough. A few of them found some of the conversations at Howard Rheingold's Electric Minds site particularly relevant.
