Often while reading about a particular event or text in History, I recall, thinking, "Yes, I remember that" or "I read that in graduate school!" For these reasons, the book represented an account of the major turning events that led up to and happened in the field. To me the field's important history begins in 1982 (what does that say about me?) and continues along several significant happenings:

Ted Nellen elaborates more on this theme in his reading of History. I, too, "kept nodding my head" in recognition.
