Catherine C. Braun (a.k.a. "Katie") is an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University at Marion, where she teaches writing, film, digital media, and professional communication courses. She enjoys incorporating digital media composing into all of her classes, especially basic writing, and she hopes to create more digital scholarship in the future. Kenneth Gilbert is a Sound Designer for Henninger Media Services in Washington, DC, working on documentaries for National Geographic, Discovery, and Smithsonian among other film, commercial, and political clients. He also freelances as a composer/designer for various theatre and multimedia projects. He composed the music for "This Is Scholarship" as an interpretation of the video that Katie created.
