2008Schreyer2Reception at the Aquarium The publisher’s reception at the aquarium was outstanding. As a first-time attendee, having the event at such a unique location added to the feeling that this conference was about bringing people together to enjoy good conversation (both professional and personal). It demonstrated how hard everyone had worked to make a great conference experience. While I was initially nervous as a new attendee, I quickly felt welcomed and engaged in many different conversations with other writing center and composition faculty. One woman told me about her quest for information about Writing Across The Curriculum programs, while I enjoyed a fun moment of comparing chocolate desserts with another. The feeling of collegiality was electrifying! |
