2008SchreyerIndiana University of Pennsylvania Gathering A fun experience was attending the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) gathering at the Quarter House. The alumni, faculty, and students congregated to celebrate attending the conference, discuss ideas and projects, and meet other IUP folks. As a new student in the IUP program, it was wonderful to see that composition scholars are welcoming, engaging, and fun to be around. Attending the event solidified my desire to begin my doctoral work, and it reinforced to me that I made the right decision to attend IUP. I’d encourage all universities to set aside some time for alums and prospective students to gather and talk. |
