Stated preferences represented in Table 1 above often correspond with the names that students, instructors, or administrators used to describe Heavilon 124 during other parts of their interviews, during the staff meeting I observed, or in their written comments but there were occasional discrepancies. Several participants switched between the names offered in the tables below—sometimes negating their expressed dislike for a particular label—and occasionally, participants introduced additional names not included in the tables below, such as wireless environment, paperless classroom, technology-rich environment, technology-enhanced classroom, and wireless laptop environment.

Academic names for HH 124 were favored by all groups. A metaphor's value lies, in part, in its power to help us recognize points of congruence based in reality, but metaphors also contain traces of hope and fantasy. Keeping this in mind, let's explore some other options, in addition to more conventional alternatives.
