"How I am supposed to know what to work on/revise if I do not know my grade?"

Students fear that they will not make the right corrections (or all of them) in order to receive an A on their papers; in essence, students worry that they will not know where to start.

To ease this fear, I assure students that I make the necessary comments on their papers. In fact, I tell my students that at different stages of their drafts, I focus on different aspects of their papers. I also remind students that they should be working on their papers throughout the drafting process, that writing is not a matter of fixing/correcting mistakes, that there is no such thing as the perfect and finished text (but only one that we have to eventually abandon), and that it is impossible for me to focus and comment on every aspect of every paper.

This response and the previous response boil down to the students' discomfort at being evaluated on their processes, development, and demonstration.
