The issue of what "text" means in an online context is challenging, and the issue of whether it's
more appropriate for a hypertextually-based class, for example, to use a hypertext (and therefore
online) text-"book" is its own complex issue. I'll leave this issue for another discussion, while
adding only that we (teachers in general) are still at a stage where traditional paper textbooks are
more convenient and cost-effective for most students.
