. . . As a Computers and Composition Narrative

While the writers take great care to be representative in their review of literature, it seems only "natural" that, since two of the writers have had such a strong hand in the creation of Computers and Composition, the journal would be of central focus. This is evident thorughout the book, although it intensifies by the third chapter just after Computers and Composition moves into the "big leagues in content" (148).

In other words, beginning with chapter two and the birth of the journal in newsletter form, more and more attention is directed toward that central publication. By the end of the book, the journal begins to set the field's agenda and direction, along with CCC and the Computers and Writing conferences. For those involved in it then and now, this is an essential thread in the book with which to familize oneself.
