Example of useful linking

Here is a sample from Cloyce's project "Usenet as a Society." Notice that information about the links can be inferred from context clues and the reader really has an option to decided whether he or she would like to pursue it further.

The second two deal specifically with life on the Whole Earth 'Lectronic Link, a conference system much like Usenet. The WELL now is connected to Usenet, though they still have WELL-specific newsgroups (conferences). Because the structure is similar (though the population is smaller), these writings about the WELL also apply to Usenet. Both "A Cybernaut's Eye View" and "My Neighborhood On The WELL" both talk about life in the virtual community of the WELL.
