Navigational Links
Navigational considerations are important for both the reader and writer of
hypertextual writing. While one certainly brings navigational grammars to an
interaction with papertext, the successful negotiation of a series of linked
hypertextual writings that do not follow a traditional linear pattern can be
confusing on one hand and offputting on the other. Throughout this writing I
have tried to provide navigational links to help you easily move forward and
back through a series of connected and overlapping writings with minimal
confusion and/or frustration. I may have overlooked some possibilities for
streamlining the links I have created, however, and I may have inadvertently
written some links that, despite my best efforts, leave you feeling lost. For
this I apologize. In the case of this Note (and others like it, as well as
links to works cited) I have not included links to return you to the previous
point of your reading. My reason for doing this is that I feel you can use the
"Back" feature of your particular browser to accomplish this movement.
Remember that wherever you are in this writing, you can use the "Back" feature
of your browser for this navigational purpose.
