Or, How the Heck to Find Yer Way

Although we have imposed an order on this hypertext as well as the MOO survey and meetings, there is no right or wrong way to approach this web. We hope to make the organizational structure clear enough that the reader may easily move about, finding bits and bytes of interest.

The spatial organization centers around the four main Jester meetings. This was a matter of convenience. Most of the conversations overlapped, and the discussions were rather wide ranging. We have also organized the material from the Jester surveys in this manner for the same reasons, hoping they would help focus discussion for each meeting. But again, folks love to cross organizational boundaries whenever possible, and in fact, we had hoped they would. This is how we imagine this web:

We also use color as another organizing principle. We passed out boxes of FAT CRAYONS at each MOO meeting. We hoped people would use the yellow crayons for the first MOO session, green crayons for the next blue, red, and so on, thinking the meetings would then look like this:

But they liked the colors so much they used them all whenever they wanted. Still, we have the last laugh because the logs themselves are just plain old text, and all pages related to a particular section of the hypertext will have its identifying color. All the main beginning nodes, including this one, have white text.

All files of this hypertext will have the following tables: the four MOO sessions, return to the beginning, return to help, mailtos and links to MOO rooms where you can respond to the Jester Forum and/or this hypertext.
