When I mention "Web writing," I generally mean a wide variety of prose, from essays
to technical writing to fiction to homepage blurbs. Typically, this prose contains
hypertextual links between nodes as well. What I don't mean here is the kinds of
"lists of links" that overpopulate the Web; the main purposes of these indexes is to
describe the sites they point to (and even those descriptions are often vague).
