Many of the people making the decisions, to MOO or not to MOO, are not GEEKS, but geeks. See the difference? We set out to explain the server side needs for a MOO: what kind of computer, what software, what level of expertise the MOO admins would need. In addition, we wanted to forewarn those who would like a MOO of their own of a few of the generic pitfalls they might encounter. We wanted people to know up front what kind of care and feeding a MOO and its server would need.
