impulse to write about the self

In his evaluation of the final project, student Andrew Moses writes,

Another easy thing about this project is that it is about yourself. As we discussed in class people want others to know who we are. Now this is a perfect way for that to happen. It is also easier to write when we have a connection to the subject, and there is no better connection than the one to ourselves.
