JAZZ AS CONCEPT


Note that I use JAZZ -- in this classroom scene -- as a CONCEPT.

In other words, the students are asked to begin to think about writing by placing their activity within one particular metaphorically conceptualized space.

To this end, we first establish that in all of our written work as individuals we must reflect both on what we will write, and at the same time, on how our writing operates within a collaborative and/or collective context/economy.
