How to Join the CWTA

Because the CWTA is still in its formative stages, there is currently no set way to become a CWTA member; however, you can send a request to join to either Judy Williamson <jwillia9@gmu.edu> or Cindy Wambeam <cwambeam@nmsu.edu> and let us know you are interested. As our membership grows, we intend to become more organized and "official." The following is an excerpt from our discussion about joining the CWTA:

Cin and I were talking about CWTA membership. How do we know we're members? How about someone design a CWTA membership card with our tag line from the conference title on it? We could post this on the CWTA Web site and people could print it out and carry it in their pockets. So, we could all be card-carrying CWTA members!

Sounds like a fun idea to me! Is anyone here good with graphics?

Now, when someone asks to join, we:

  1. Let them know they're on the web page.
  2. Have them print out the card if they'd like.
  3. Tell them that we have our first meeting (on Mediamoo) coming up soon.
  4. Put them on some list of members somewhere official??? (Judy?)
  5. Let them know about the sig at 4Cs?

Perhaps we should have some sort of form letter???

As of this writing, we still don't have a membership card designed--but we're looking for one, so send your  design to Cindy and we'll eventually vote on all of the possibilities.

Even though we don't yet have an official membership card, we do have a fledgling discussion list, and all prospective members are invited to
